The Plaza Group recently renewed its agreement with Frontier Oil to serve as the exclusive marketer of benzene produced at Frontier’s refining facility in El Dorado, Kansas. The contract is valued at $50 million per year.
Wilf Kimball, The Plaza Group’s Benzene Business Director, commented on the renewal, saying, “This agreement epitomizes the type of long-term business relationships The Plaza Group has worked to build over the last decade.” TPG President, Randy Velarde, agrees, adding, “We have been marketing chemicals produced at El Dorado since we opened our doors in 1994. This latest extension is a testament to the enduring nature of that relationship and the value we have been able to provide the owners of this facility – first under the Texaco umbrella, then as part of Equilon and today, as a Frontier Oil operation.”
The signing comes just weeks after The Plaza Group hosted a 10th anniversary dinner and golf celebration for more than 25 members of the El Dorado team.
