The Plaza Group, a leading international petrochemical marketing firm, has promoted Thaisla (Thai) Courtney to Director of Operations. Thai has been with The Plaza Group for nearly 12 years, most recently serving as the Manager of Customer Service and Logistics.
In her new role, Thai will continue to direct all activities associated with Customer Service and Logistics, including movements and management of inventory positions. She will coordinate regulatory activities and manage internal quality and continuous improvement systems, act as Responsible Distribution Coordinator, manage IT functions both internally and with vendors, and oversee the company website.
Thai is a Brazil native where she received two master’s degrees in business administration and marketing. Prior to relocating to the United States, she spent five years with an electronics import and distribution company as the Marketing and Sales Director.
