The Plaza Group has signed a $30 million multi-year agreement to supply Netherlands-based Resolution Performance Products with a key raw petrochemical used in the production of versatic acid, an ingredient used to produce latex emulsions used in paint and coatings.
The agreement was signed recently in Houston by The Plaza Group’s President Randy Velarde and Resolution Performance Products’ Purchasing Manager Hans van Veen. Velarde commented on the new agreement, saying, “We are pleased to have been chosen as a supplier by Resolution Performance Products. The company is a good fit for The Plaza Group’s international focus and we look forward to supporting their versatic acids business through dependable and reliable product delivery.”
