The Plaza Group has signed a multi-year agreement valued at over $30 million with TOTAL PETROCHEMICALS USA, INC. to market styrene monomer produced at TOTAL’s Cosmar, Louisiana facility.
“This new agreement signifies our growing relationship with Total Petrochemicals. We have been involved with other products produced by Total over the last five years and this addition of styrene fits nicely with our line of solvents and intermediates.” said Randy Velarde, The Plaza Group’s president. Wilfred Kimball, Styrene Business Manager at the Plaza Group concurred, saying,” We greatly value Total’s trust in our company. We look forward to developing it into one of the cornerstones of our business.”
The styrene produced at the facility is used to manufacture polystyrene, ABS, SBS rubber, unsaturated polyesters among other applications.
